I absolutely LOVED this graphic novel!

The art style is so freaking cozy, warm, and beautiful!

This is a fantastic little story that covers topics like overcoming anxiety, acceptance, and not being afraid of someone just because they’re different.

I also really loved the simple little inclusion that Carrot uses they/them pronouns!

This is a super quick read but well worth it!

I will absolutely be adding Garlic and the Vampire to my collection, and I can’t wait to read the sequel!

This was seriously the cutest thing I've read in a long time.

This follows Garlic, who is incredibly anxious, who is tasked with going up to a mysterious castle to confront a vampire by her fruit and veggie friends.

This is a graphic novel and the illustrations were absolutely lovely. At some point I'm going to have to see if I can read it with the full color rather than in the black and white due to it being on kindle, but I feel like I didn't miss a ton with the black and white like I have in the past with other stories. The story itself was so cute and pure and a perfect read for autumn and if you're having a rough day.

I loved all of the characters, even the mean ones. They all had such distinctive personalities and their interactions were all lovely.

Definitely one I plan on picking up again in the future.

What the HECK I want to buy my own copy immediately!!! This was such an adorable, wholesome story. I am obsessed with Paulsen's art style, and also the thought she put into the arrangement and flow of the panels. That, combined with the plot (which was well-paced), gave off some serious cottagecore vibes. Can't wait to read Garlic and the Witch!
