This was an interesting and complicated story that kept me interested until the end. There is a lot of information packed into the story, especially the etymology of names and fighting techniques. It seems the author really did her research! All of it is necessary and feeds into the mystery of who is who and what is what and how it will end. Curious to see where the sequel will take November!

Exciting YA thriller in a boarding school, with murders and ancient secret societies. I liked how November seems so innocent and normal compared to the others at first, then you gradually you realize that nah, her childhood was NOT normal at all. Weirdly the hardest part to believe for me was that she just immediately knew the meaning of any name across many languages and cultures.
