A nice summer read. The romance wasn't what I wanted it to be, but I liked the heroine a lot. Also a good friendship story!

Cute but without much depth. I loved the podcast aspect of the novel but felt like a lot of the dialogue seemed overly formal and stiff for high school students.

The writing is very straightforward, which is great for a contemporary novel, but it also came off as more meant for younger readers.

Fun overall but not West’s best.

This was one my least favorite reads from Kasie West so far. I usually appreciate her subplot that she fits in with her YA love stories. But this subplot was about handling an advice podcast at school. The struggle of the podcast didn't seem to warrant the tension she wrote into the plot. But aside from that, the story arch and feel was the same as her other books.

"Sometimes I hesitate to share important things because... I don’t think people will care about them as much as I do. And then when I do share, the things are out there to be judged, or never thought about again. And I can't decide which outcome is worse."

This was such a cute summer romance. The characters were adorable and I really liked how kind and calm Kate was. She wasn't complaining about "just" beeing the Co-Host at the Podcast. It was really refreshing. And even though I usually don't like books that deal with this kind of conflict at the end, Kasie West solved it perfectly.

Adorably cute! This was my first Kasie West book, and I was not disappointed. I am a sucker for a light, YA contemporary romance, and this hit the spot. I read it over the course of 3 days, and I wanted to be able to read it at all times. I really loved all of the characters (even Frank), and I was engaged throughout the whole story. This was a great summer read!

me? Actually enjoying a Kasie West book? More likely than you’d think. I guess what they say is true, third times the charm.

This was a really cute book! Kasie West is classic YA contemporary and I though this was done well. I loved the idea of the high schoolers cresting a podcast. The advice was great and it was a fun way to get all the characters involved. I also liked that the lake was a backdrop for the story I thought Kate's development over the story was nice and I think she really learned a lot about herself. Overall this was fun and a quick read!
