the characters were OK, the story was OK, everything was just OK. it took me forever to get through this book because it couldn't keep me interested. the most exciting part only lasted a couple of pages and was all the way in the end. I also didn't like the insta-love in this book. Not to say that insta-love can't be good, but In this book it just didn't work for me. I do really like the concept of this book as it was and original plot, but I feel that Tintera didn't deliver. Overall the book was pretty disappointing for me as I expected soo much more from it. I am not sure if I will be be continuing this series.

This book was a super fast read. I thought it was really refreshing. It's a story with a different take on Zombies which was fun to read. I'm also excited that it's a duology instead of a trilogy like so many books are these days.

WOW! What a read. That was exactly what I needed to get out of my little reading slump I think I was in. An awesome story, very animalistic. Especially with Ever and Callum when they went rabid. Honestly reminded me a little of a story I had started coming up with in my Storytelling class many moon ago. A girl trying to save a boy she met and fell in love with from himself and a sickness.

ONE DAY I WILL BUY THIS BOOK

Wow I didnt actually think this book was about zombies. But it was written in a way that you forget. Because I normally dont read books about zombies. But this, this book is so fantastic that I forgot about it. It's that great. I was rooting for them. Well for 178 ( Wren ). Wren is such a unique character and I was thinking damn you are a badass. Because she does everything the special government asked of her. Why not they feed her and has a place to stay long as she does what they ask. Capture reboots or criminals for them no matter the cost. But when she has to train a young reboot who doesnt follow orders she has to decide does she want to stay there or save ( 22 ) Callum. Callum doesnt want to hurt or kill or capture anyone. But when they start doing testing on the younger number recruits and Wren's roommate goes crazy and starts attacking the guards and others like her. Wren makes a plan to escape to save Callum before they kill him or do tests on him. However once outside and hiding they realize there is a retreat for reboots with human rebels.
Wren can't believe humans want to help them.. They have always been afraid of reboots, why help now?
Looking forward to book 2. Can't wait to see how the retreat will be with humans and reboots living together..

This book had me hooked from the first page.

It was fast paced, which means I wasn't left wanting it to pick up, the characters were interesting and it was an interesting world where humans try to control the dead (or Reboots). Wren was a very interesting characters to read about, and I liked how she was expected to be the most emotionless and cold hearted due to her high number, but we start to see glimpses of her humanity come through even before she gets fully involved with Callum, such as worrying for her best friend Ever after she starts acting weird due to the shots the facility has been administrating her.

Callum just instantly drew me in, his personality was bright and happy and it was hard to resist not liking him. He represented the fact that Reboots are still beings and have real feelings, despite being "dead".

The romance between Callum and Wren was intense, and I have a feeling it's going to get even more intense in the 2nd book. Wren also showed insecurities, something only humans show, especially with her bullet scars on her chest from when she was shot.

I love the rebellious theme to it, I love the dystopian feel and I loved the romance. A real page turner and very hard to put down.
