I think in all of the Briar U / Off Campus books, these two were my favorite! their banter and their chemistry was so addicting! Demi is such a sweetheart, with a bad ass I don't take crap side. Hunter is such a teddy bear and a great new captain feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. Of course the cameos of everyone else in both series just brings me so much joy!
The book lost me a little bit in the middle and the end. I feel like so much was trying to get accomplished so you never dive deep into any real issues, just a lot skated over. Just feels like a lot of missed opportunities, I found myself wanting scenes that I was not getting.
But lets be honest, any scene or chapter that had the two of them together, I completely craved and obsessed over!

Appreciated that it was a bit more of a slow burn, almost friends to lovers.
Liked Hunter, but didn't find Demi convincing as a character. Nothing about her made sense.

I usually love Elle Kennedy's stories but I just couldn't get into this story. I've tried reading this book about 3 times and it just feels like a chore to read for me 😞
