Another beautiful book by N. D. Jones featuring soulmates. Was it painful? Yes. Do I want more? Also yes.

I genuinely like love triangles, and the way it was handled here was different, but it worked.

Ammon is my favourite, I blame the name. He couldn't not be cool with a name like that. I think he was at his best when
Spoilermerged with Zion, and a bit before the merging when he woke up for a second
.

We didn't get to see that much of Zion for me to form as big of an attachment to him, and reading his thoughts was very heartbreaking.

Lela was as badass as expected, I really love her.

I wish this was longer, but luckily book two exists, so on I go.

This book was simply beautiful. Relateable. Anybody who has lost a loved one can relate, can sympathize with the characters, can hope that the authors version of afterlife truly exist and we will see the ones we love again working out the misunderstandings of this life. I was truly invested in the characters, the raw emotions, the conflict of emotions were so real. This is a romance but I think its principles extend to more than romantic love, foreshadowing this a classic read that will stand the test of time.

I did want Ammon to have a soul tie to someone, who could love him back just as fully perhaps in his next lifetime
