This needed to be a little bit longer for me to enjoy it. The actual Romance felt rushed compared to the others I've read because eventually this was just a more condensed version of them (meet, super attracted, bad stuff happens, sexy times, bad guy does something terrible, they bond) and all of the turmoil is missing. Usually there is one of them fighting their feelings or the breedmate is trying to stay away from the crazy vampire guy because hello, they're aliens and a little scary, but this kinda breezed through a lot. Breezed through the Romance, the bad shit going on etc but there was still action in the fighting and sexy times were still pretty sexy. Overall not bad but I wanted a bit more to connect because I felt I connected with these two more in everyone else's novels and not this one.

Amazing

This book is completely addicting. I love Gideon and Savannah. It puts you in mind of Lora Leigh's Breed series, except these are vampires

A Touch of Midnight is a prequel novella to the Midnight Breed series and this was just a great glimpse into this new world. I was just drawn into this world and I just fell in love with these amazing characters. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories in this series.

I really enjoyed getting to know Savanna and Gideon's story.

It had a good timming, it was fun and easy to read. Really enjoyed how the characters were presented, their evolution and the motive that makes Gideon stay behind the desk insted of fighthing. I feel that it covered most of the questions i had about both of them.

With that being said i felt that their romance was so fast. It was kind of strange, considering the personality they had and the past experience of Savanna but i get that Lara had only a short amount of time to tell the story. (it was a novella)It showed that they trully liked each other but i felt it happenned so fast.
Maybe i am not a romantic. :P

This book does a really great job at bringing us into this world and building it and the characters it has me excited to continue the series.

I enjoyed the 2 main characters their struggle of understanding who the other is really was interesting and intriguing and another reason I can’t wait to start book 1.

Also, the narration was fantastic I really enjoyed it.
