Trigger warnings: physical assault/attempted murder, blood, amnesia, gun violence

This was, to be honest, a TAD too long. But the romance itself was lovely and the epistolary aspect of things, padding out the ten years of their relationship, worked really well. I'm always slightly suspect about arranged marriage storylines in historical romances, but given that the arrangement happened when they were children and they had ten years to get to know each other and actually fall in love - albeit through letters and without ever meeting - it just WORKED.

The crime-y side of the story was kind of predictable, but that worked too so we'll give it a free pass.
