Brittany has done it again! Never did I ever think I’d be reading a book written by Brittany Spears but gosh I am so happy I did. Her story is a masterpiece but not one that you can enjoy fully because of all the hardships she has gone through. It’s a masterpiece in a sense of being a survivor of so much trauma the world has thrown at her. Multiple times she has pushed through until she could no longer do so and she had to find her way out. Through the support of her fans she’s held on and it’s such a blessing that we still have her today to love wholeheartedly. Such a great read and I highly recommend!

I have read some of the reviews, and understand that people who usually read memoirs have their educated opinions about Britney's memoir feeling like a girl's dairy or just generally unpolished. I, as someone who does not often read memoirs, thought that the writing style had some pros and some cons. The pros being the casual conversation feel of the whole book that made me feel that this was truly Britney speaking to us (some say her social medias are still highly controlled, I personally do not believe that), and the cons being the numerous jumps and time skips that were not warned about or acknowledged while I was reading. The time-skips were quite an annoyance at times because as someone who has kept up with the Free Britney Movement since summer of 2022, I felt that some details we uncovered that were crucial to the movement were not mentioned from Britney's perspective. I would have loved to seen more of Britney's version/feelings toward specific things we had uncovered about her case. In the end, this is definitely her way of saying FU to everyone who had wronged her through books, interviews, and documentaries. I am proud of her for just that.

This poor woman. If you are in any way a Britney Spears fan, and even if you're not, this is important to read. She is literally treated like the protagonist of THE YELLOW WALLPAPER. If we lock her up, we can do whatever we want. Heartbreaking.

The treatment of Britney Spears needs to be studied because of how awful and hypocritical it was. Britney who wasn't deemed able enough to be in charge of her own financials yet she was able to perform on stage. Britney who wasn't able to see her sons after taking a break from the music industry yet her ex-husband who's career was taking off was given full custody. Britney who was deemed "out of control partying" after ensuring she had a caregiver for her sons for the night, was able to go on a world tour THAT SHE DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO GO ON.

This book breaks my heart. It's terrible that she had undergo this horrible and unfair treatment at the hands of her own family. I question the licenses of the lawyers and judge who clearly saw the unfair and horrific treatment and yet did nothing to help. I question the whole American judicial system for allowing this to happen and letting it go on for 13 years. How did her family think this was okay and get away with it? Why was she given such unfair treatment when she did everything that they asked for her while she asked for very little. All she wanted was to see her sons and not have them taken away from her over and over again. Why didn't anyone see that and advocate for her? I question everything I've ever been told through the media about this time in Britney's life and I shame the photographers who violated her privacy over and over again during this time.
