Sometimes repetitive. We would learn something about a character or plot line that then would be mentioned again in a few chapters that the characters would be surprised about. Lots and lots of back and forth between the characters in sense of character development. Oh I shouldn't drive her home, and then he drives her home. And then he freaks out about driving her home because she is younger than him (like 1.5 years) and then, you guessed it, her will drive her home the next night.

I'm reading the next one because how could you not when the book ends like that.

Boom, boom, fucking boom. If I never read another book again, and could only read this one. That would be okay. I love Johnny and Shannon so much šŸ˜ I need them for keeps!!

I havenā€™t stopped thinking about them since I finished the book, and will be reading Keeping 13 ASAP.

Every single page of this book was beautiful. Itā€™s a book that simultaneously made me laugh and cry. Sometimes on the same page. Iā€™ve never loved characters more, or rooted for a couple more. The writing was amazing, to generate such feeling from the readers requires immense skill, of which Walsh clearly has in buckets.

The book is an emotional rollercoaster. Despite such heavy themes I found myself laughing often. Their banter was great but also Gibsie šŸ„²

Please, just check the CWā€™s and if you feel you can, read it. This didnā€™t even take me two days to read and it is CHUNKY. But I just couldnā€™t put it down. Itā€™s addictive.

Loved everything about this book, lots of layers on the building trust between Shannon and Johnny. Only thing mildly cringing is the fact they state how small Shannon is in like every chapter. Besides that this book is incredible, I love the storyline and i think its written perfectly for the fact that its 2 teenagers falling in love.

Let me start by saying that I do not support this author, Iā€™ve heard she is a zi0n1st so I bought the book second hand and I recommend you do too.

Iā€™ll give an honest review though with no bias (may contain spoilers).

This book is 800 pages, yet I read it in two days because I have to admit - it is pretty addictive. Thereā€™s no spice but there is a lot of vulgar talk (and I mean a lot, so be warned).

I did really enjoy the beginning of this book, which is why I read it so fast, because it felt relatively realistic and  quite cute.

However the closer I got to the end, the more whatpadd-coded (derogatory) it became. There were themes that were continually repeated through this book. For example, Shannon ā€œso small uwušŸ„ŗšŸ„ŗšŸ„ŗā€ and johnny ā€œso tall and strongšŸ„ŗšŸ„ŗā€. Donā€™t even get me started on the amount of times Shannon walked into a wall of hard muscle šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜. In what world is every teenager boy at school, a walking Arnold Schwarzenegger??

I did love the fact that this book was set in Ireland though, but even though it was entertaining to read, I didnā€™t love a lot more. One thing that I did quite like was how protective Johnny was, although it got a bit unrealistic and cringe at times.

Also, Chloe Walshā€™s writing was nothing special, in terms of language technique and stuff. It was easy to read and entreating, but not special.

Overall, this book was okay and fun to read but could have been better.
