This is the most twisted, dark and sinister book i've ever read on human psychology. You think that you can guess what's going to happen but you will realize soon enough you are wrong. I thought i've read enough books on revenge but this book so far has the smartest plot. It reminds me of "The Glory" on Netflix.

I've read quite many books about multiple perspectives of the characters and i didn't really like any of them besides "Rock Paper Scissors" by Alice Feeney. Still, that book lacks something. This book instead delivers everything that a masterpiece needs. I was so convinced what led the characters to commit their dramatic actions as if i were in their minds.

If you are into revenge, a critical thinker and into psychological-thriller but can't find any good books then i totally recommend this one! This is such a unique book, the one that cleanses your palate after reading too many similar crime thrillers

Wow this book absolutely hooked me from beginning to end.  If you like classic thrillers where you can try to solve things as you go then this isn’t for you. I personally loved that it laid everything out and then gave you new perspective on what happened through the different points of view. There were also a lot of little twists throughout the story that kept me hooked. I also really enjoyed the ending. Definitely a great read.

This was interesting. I was really intrigued to see we’re this would go and what actually happened. My favorite part was seeing how all the different characters and their motives differed from what you thought previously from another point of view. I do have to say though that most of the reasons things happened honestly was stupid and didn’t even make sense to me(like it did, but I don’t think any of it works, but then again they are psychopaths). I think this is worth picking up, but to me nothing shocked me and it was a little repetitive at times which I personally didn’t mind.

Jezus Christ this was dark. And so so good. It just kept spiraling and spiraling and you never knew what the next move was going to be. I gasped multiple times, one of the best and most thrilling books I've read in a while. (but so many triggerwarnings, please look them up in advance)

What a wild ride! A very interesting story of revenge, moral compasses, nature vs nurture, fear and the justice system.
I think the choices of POVs were excellent, they helped give the same timeline of events more nuances and each one had a twist/reveal that kept you hooked.

Absolutely gripping! So many factors contributed to making this book wonderfully tense. I found myself saying "OH MY GOD" out loud many times, sometimes multiple times per chapter. As someone who's done a bit of research into the rise of crime among young people in Japan, it also appealed to me in that regard - as dark as it can be, I definitely enjoy considering what real-world factors lead these people to do the things they do. If you're the same, I highly recommend this book.

PERFECT AUDIOBOOK!!!

It reads so much like someone telling you their thoughts, which came across a lot better through audio. I tried to physically read the book, but the tenses and the way it was written I couldn’t really get into in that medium- which is the ONLY reason why I did not rate it 5 stars.

BUT I LOVED THIS AS AN AUDIOBOOK!

I liked all of the POV’s, and I feel like every section we got to know something new about the story- so we truly did know all sides of it. Sometimes we get all bogged down with only one side and we forget there are other sides and other factors. So I really appreciated and liked that this explored that.

All in all, this is amazing! And the end of chapter one is all the proof I need that holy crap I’ll never forget this novel! Ingenious revenge! Perfect!
