Each chapter is told from the perspective of a new character, and while usually that's a neat narrative tool, in Confessions each chapter just ends up rehashing the same information we've learned in Chapter 1. You can only re-read the same information so many times before it feels incredibly tedious.

In a twisted way I really enjoyed this book. In the first quater or so I wished it had a little more spice to it but it balanced itself out. The ending is just a real bomb.
Unfortunately the teacher/mother of the murdered child is mainly absent in most of the book because she orchestras everything from behind the scenes.
Some of the characters could have used a little touch up especially regarding their depth.
All in all I quite enjoyed it and it gave me KDrama "The Glory" vibes.

I really really liked the book in the beginning but after the first three parts it started to get on my nerves. The book was getting repitative and boring I kind of expected this book to be a mistery thriller which it wasn't it's kind of like a character study . I was really disappointed by the ending I thought it kinda ended abruptly. I also think this book could have been a little bit shorter. Also a lot of people are saying that they were shocked by the ending I wasn't it was really obvious what was going to happen.

Well this one surprised me... every 10% or so I kept saying "how is this not over? what else could there be?!"

I went into this book knowing next to nothing and honestly, it might not have mattered if I knew . I was surprised again and again as we went on and as the layers were pulled back. There is a main event that triggers everything in this book and then we get 5 POVs that give us new information regarding the event.

Even though it could have been quite repetitive it didn't feel like it at all. Also, there are some really interesting themes explored: revenge, motherhood, the responsibility of educators, guilt, misinformation, murder, fear, and so much more. I feel like this is a book that will definitely leave me thinking for a while.

I'd highly recommend to anyone who is into psychological thriller with mind games and a revenge story.
