Not quite sure what to make of this. Don't get me wrong I want to like this. I was probably one of the few who actually quite liked the film. OK it had its faults, a lot of them, but still I did like it.
This though is a little too inconsistent to be really enjoyable.

I don't know if it was because this was made in the 80's or what but I wasn't as interested as I thought I would be. I've heard such amazing things about Constantine that I thought I'd love this but something was off. Maybe the intense Christianity stuff?? Or how part of the plot just gave up on itself for something totally different with no explanation??
I might read more Constantine because I want to at least get to the point where he comes out as bisexual but I'm not desperate for it.

Will finish this after I finish Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing run, but really loved the melancholic horror. Took many years and tries to get into this book, but I finally did now

My first graphic novel about this characters, I just knew the Film with Keanu Reeves. A good read of Action meets Horror but full of eighties politics which makes it a bit strange to read. Also, I did not known John Constantine was from Liverpool but to read his dark, gritty narration in the stronges Liverpool-accent I can imagine makes it so much more fun

Took me so much longer than I thought to get through this but I’m so happy I didn’t quit. The second half of this volume is exactly what I wanted. I came into this series expecting the exact same thing as swamp thing and that’s where I screwed up. Even though the characters are very intertwined in their stories, Constantine’s story is a lot different. Delano did an excellent job of bringing social issues into the series which was still relevant today. I had a hard time though wrapping my head around the writing style and approach he was talking but once I finally reached that halfway mark, something clicked in my head and then I just sped through the rest of it. This volume brings up how history in Newcastle and how his past actions are catching up with me. I really liked the role that the war between heaven and hell played in this and I’m interested to see how this plays out, especially with how it will impact the actions of the last issue of the volume with swamp thing.

Nobody was happy in this book aside from in the last issue, and it is super super dark (probably read content the warnings) Really good though! Enjoyed it loads!

I don't think graphic novels work well on a kindle. It was really hard to follow.
