Loved it! While the groveling wasn't really mainstream, I liked the male character's version of it and his slow ascent realization. The sex scenes had some weird language that made me grimace once or twice but I liked the book overall.

Surprisingly good!

I haven’t read a shifter romance in a long time. I’d forgotten how much I used to enjoy them.
I enjoyed the 2 main characters and I loved the love/hate push & pull.
I’ll definitely be checking out more of this series.

I like shifter romances, but this one actually pissed me off. She is "damaged" and he's the alpha. Well, he rejects her and when her "bond" is taken away, and he finally admits to himself that she is his "mate", he expects her to just come running to him. I will admit, she made him work for it, but he was so arrogant that I found it hard to actually like him.

This book absolutely threw me in the best way possible. I thought it was going to be kind of a dorky read but it was so well written. I absolutely loved the dynamics and discussion of gender roles and what it all meant. Even the discussion of queerness was surprising but still wonderful. Honestly loved every second of this read! Including Gael just being a dorky dork lol. I want to see more of Tye and Kennedy though!

I totally didn't know that this is omegaverse lol! Tried this out coz it's on KU. Although this was not really to my tastes (too romance-heavy, barely any plot, and worldbuilding is quite vague and thin), I appreciate how the author made me emotionally invested in the characters. I liked her other series more because I don't really like omegaverse outside of the occasional fanfic lol.

So damn good! Some stories just tick all my boxes and this is certainly one of them. An h done wrong, a particularly strong one at that lets you know right away how good this story could be... you won't be disappointed by this shifter love story. There's even a tinge of omegaverse in the mating which I am a fan of. I can't wait to read more of these stories, there's great world-building and remarkable characters you want to know more about, but the H and h in this book will forever be one of my favorite couples. This is a bit of a slow burn but the storytelling is so on point that it didn't bother me and I barely noticed. Highly recommend!
