What can I say but WOW, I loved everything about this story! Jun is such a sassy, strong FMC but also knows when she needs help, and that's where the men come in. Each one brings something different to the team and helps Jun in different but necessary ways, which is why they are perfect for each other! Now Alex oh my broody, smart mouth, ass of a man is the most difficult of them all lol but dayuum is he sexy, well they all are smoking and bring sooo much heat but Alex just gives me the chills in a good way!! Ok back on track.. The writing and they way they wrote this story again did the original story justice for sure and has been one of my favorite stories so far for 2020!! I truly recommend reading this book it has everything you need and I couldn't put it down I was hooked completely now I warn you Miss Jarica (Rowan said to blame you) gave us a cliffy that made me want to scream but I can't wait to read book 2 and find out what happens with Jun and her boy's and if Alex finally comes to his senses!!

4 Stars,

This book took me by surprise. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. I think that all of the guys balance out well with Jun (Juniper) and that the overarching mystery kept me hooked.

This is about 5 people (Dex, Sterling, Asher, Alex and Jun) teaming up at this paranormal "special" school that takes people with heightened abilities, like the sight, mind reading, and other supernatural powers and form teams. Dex, Sterling, and Jun are all friends from childhood and they want to be teamed up together since they know how to best use their abilities with one another, but each team has to have 5 people, so that is where Asher and Alex come along.

Throughout this journey Jun, who has the sight (so she can see in to the veil) is experiencing some really serious demonic energy, and two of the guys on her team (Sterling and Alex) don't always believe her. It's hard to believe something you can't see, which I get, but I always love watching those ghost shows, one of my guilty pleasures so this was right up my ally!

The Guys:
-Dex (Dexter) Alexander: Retrocognition/Postcognition. Jun's best friend since pre-k. The chill guy, one who Jun goes to when nightmares are bad. He can read her mind, mainly just hers.
-Sterling Johnston: Superior Intelligence and Psychic Surgery, aka Specs, Jun's best friend since grade school. The nerd of the group, has a Superman/Clark Kent Vibes
-Asher Van Dyn: Empath, Twin to Alex. He has had a crush on Jun for a long time since they have had some classes together. He fit seamlessly in with the group when they formed and had a great connection with Jun.
-Alex Van Dyn: Remote Viewing, Twin to Asher. doesn't like Jun or this group at first because it wasn't with his Pilot friends. The real enemies to lovers situation right here. You can tell he is fighting his feelings for Jun really hard, but it progresses naturally.

This book does end in a cliffhanger, which sucks, but the bright side is that the next book comes out in about 10 days, so hopefully I can remember what happened or read a lot of spoiler reviews haha.

This is to help me remember what happened so I don't have to reread the whole book, but the book was good enough that I might.

Spoiler Jun and the guys are going to take a relaxing picnic within their town at this spot by a waterfall. They decide after they eat that they will go explore the caves. While they are doing that some dark things start happening because of "him" and somehow Jun gets split up from the guys and taken by the demonic entity that is haunting them. Alex who is just realizing his feelings for Jun goes with Sterling (because those two are the least effected by Jun's emotional state) and try and hunt her down but it is hard since the noise is bouncing off the cave walls. In the end Alex does find the way to go and then bam ending....
