Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love peeking into the darker sides of human psychology and I found it very engaging, why this couple began killing people, how things developed and the overall realtionships that was played out in the story. There weren't any dull moments and I was engaged the entire time.
The only critique I have, is that I wished the ending had been as dark, twisted and complicated as the story was. It felt disconnected and too "hollywood-esque" with the supposed "good people" winning in the end and the aftermath of the final showdown was also brushed over very quickly. It felt rushed and disconnected and could have been done in a way that better reflected the overall story.

This is a twisted little book. I must admit I had the bulk of it figured out pretty early on, but I kept waiting to see how it would actually fall out. And there were definitely some red herrings along the way.

I cannot believe this was her first book it was crazy good. My only qualm is i hesitate to believe that his son would believe him without question towards the end. Rory watched his father sneak out multiple times and of course thought it was cheating, but he’s like 13/14 years old. If I then found out my father was killing women I’d be like holy shit that’s what he’s sneaking out for! And they never really touch on that at all. I’d hesitate to believe my dad in that scenario. Otherwise great book!

This book was nt quite what I expected it to be however the first two thirds were delightfully sinister and kept me hooked. I wasnt as pleased with the ending, given the time and effort the author had spent building the suspense it just felt a bit rushed.

Intriguing with a decent twist. Kept me entertained for sure, even though some parts did seem a bit repetitive.

Took me a long time to get through this. Just wasn’t that good even though the premise was an interesting one.
