I would like to warn people that this book has animal cruelty at the beginning of the book. What I don’t understand is why authors don’t add trigger warnings for their readers. I struggle with animal cruelty and get really upset, and because of how descriptive the author writes about the victims deaths I found how the animal died to be heartbreaking and painful to read.
This book wasn’t as good as the previous books. The book founds a joint investigation with Hunter and Garcia and the FBI. Throughout the book I just got annoyed with a characters because I felt that all she kept doing was moaning.
I still love the banter between Hunter and Garcia, and I really liked Special Agent Williams too. There were moments that I couldn’t stop smiling and other moments that I was chuckling at. But I think I enjoy the book more when it’s just Hunter and Garcia.
I did like how the author included a disabled child into this book, and I understand how cruel and horrible killers can be. But I just didn’t like what the killer called that child.
Maybe I am just picking too much at this book, but it’s just how I felt as I went along with the story.
However, the cliffhanger at the end of book just left me with a ‘oh no’ moment, that I am excited to see what happens. I feel like it will be teamed up with the FBI again but hopefully it will be better x
