The Spire has risen to the top spot in the Walshes series for me. I loved Erin and Nick. I loved their journey; how it was so different from all the other couples from their beginning, their intimacy, their commitment to each other. They grow independently and as a couple and I loved their story so much.

As in all the other books, we have an excellent array of cast members from the Walsh siblings and their partners, to the recurring side characters (I love you, Judy and Commodore!) to those we hope will maybe come back for a cameo. Each brings a special flavor to the story like a well spiced dish. It’s delicious and I want to keep eating it even after there’s nothing left on my plate.

I don’t want to include too much detail because I think one of the successes of the novel is how it unfolds. That was special. Once again we find ourselves at the same events of the past only from a different point of view. That is a treat for the reader who clearly wondered what was going on while we focused on other characters.

Another thing that I loved about this book was that we finally get resolution to conflicts that have been set up from
the beginning of the series. In The Cornerstone, Will puts a dent in the roles that the siblings have played since childhood. And in this book I felt like he was supported in that view and further validated. Aww, everybody’s growing up!

Riley is one of my favorite Walshes and as holder of many secrets, he gets a lot of time on page. He’s up next and I absolutely cannot wait for his story to unfold and for his HEA. We’ll see if he usurps Erin at top Walsh.

This series is everything.

I am an addict for all things Kate Canterbary. I stalk her (observe closely) on all platforms. Instagram is my favorite because she posts little snippets of the direction her mind is going with her stories. It just furthered my obsession with this family.

I have always wondered about Erin. We have had a lot of build up with just occasional tie in with the family. All of the kids had their issues and burdens to bare but it seemed that Erin had the most (besides Sam) which made her run to the farthest places from "home". My heart for her. I wanted to tell her to go home and let your family love you. Then there was Nick. /swoon. The lengths he went to for Erin. Stop my beating heart.

I cannot wait to read Riley's story next. Mmmm Riley.

What a beautiful read. Seeing the love grow between Erin and Nick felt so natural. Erin’s storyline with her sister was heartbreaking. I’m loving Canterbary’s writing. So far, her stories and characters all feel unique and well-rounded. Love it!

SO. DAMN. GOOD. I just love everything about this book and this whole series. I need a few days to let my thoughts and feelings marinate, but look for a full series review in the next few days.
