This is one of those books that will stay with you for a while after you've finished reading it. I really liked it - I felt encouraged, upset, tearful, happy - you name it - I think I felt it with this book! I really want, no NEED an epilogue or another book to see what happens with everyone!

I highly recommend this book. Looking forward to reading more by this new to me author.

I was hesitant to get into this - I just wasn't sure I was in the mood for a tear-jerker. But my loan from hoopla was about the expire, so I trusted in Debbie Johnson and plunged in. Johnson's books are definitely deeper (and somewhat darker) than traditional women's fiction, but they're also infused with hope. I did shed some tears, but loved the long road trip looking for Joe. And Michael and Belinda were lovely, quirky companions along the way.

I subtracted 1/2* because the ending was a little too quick for me. An extended epilogue would've been nice.

I struggle to rate this effectively. It wasn't poorly written, I was engrossed during my time reading it, but a week later when I reflect on the book I don't think I liked it?
It's quite sad at the premise/plot of what happened to the characters, and feels soooo similar to the plot of the movie PS I Love You that I feel like it would do well as a movie.

I also feel like her finally finding him at the end right after getting the news that she thinks he's dead and then the book just straight up ending kinda turned me off. Like the point of reading romance is that we want the happy ending, but for the book to get right to the point of the happy ending and then end without giving the reader a chance to dwell in the happiness for even a conclusion chapter missed the mark for me.

3.5. Sad… not quite enough resolution for me. :\

Funny, heartbreaking, and oh so sweet—a hopeful story about love and loss—and finding the courage to truly live. Prepare for an emotional roller coaster with this one! All the feels.

This is an emotional journey of love and loss that I was happy to go on with Jess. She’s been through so much. All of the characters were so likeable. It was a joy to see the growth that Jessica experienced while exploring the path that Joe took. The ending left me wanting a little bit more though. Overall, good read.

dialogue was kind of rough to get through at times but overall story was quite fun - ending absolutely should’ve lasted more than three(3!!) pages

I really love this book ❤️

It’s an emotional ride, full of amazing characters, each one is so well written and developed even the side characters.

This book is really emotional, dealing with grief and loss. It’s a wonderful emotion rollercoaster and I didn’t see the way the book was going in any way, it’s so well done .
