A heartwarming meditation on life, friendship and the pastime of angling, in the distinct voices of two British comedy stalwarts. There's plenty packed in for an eager (novice) fisherman like myself, but also an appreciation of the history of Britain's countryside and accommodations, rivers and their fascinating inhabitants.

The show is both a joy and a touch melancholy, particularly when you finish the final episode in the second series or when Paul and Bob reflect on their mortality and brush with serious heart illness. This book is the perfect complement.

Enjoyed the stories and chat between Bob and Paul, but wasn't interested in the fishing tips unfortunately

It wasn’t a revolutionary read but it was fun to spend an afternoon with Bob and Paul as they joked around and gushed about fishing which they love so dearly.
