There is a shy little mouse living in the library names Sam. One day he decides he will write and illustrate stories. He puts the stories on the shelf and the patrons and librarians soon enjoy his work and want to know who the writer is. I loved this cute story and it's set in the library!

This is a great book to get children to not only be avid readers, but to encourage them to be brave enough to become writers too. The story is motivating and sweet, while the illustrations are bold and add a nice touch to the overall cuteness of the story.

After reading this, my six-year-old son has requested several re-reads.
It’s a simple story with simple illustrations.
It casually praises reading and writing and I’m all for it.
There’s no superheroes or explosions or or monsters, and that’s appreciated.
It reminds me of some of the children books from my own childhood.

What a fun story! Sam the library mouse loves to read and make up stories, much to the surprise of the librarians and other library users. When they invite the mysterious author Sam to a "Meet the Author" day, they're in for an encouraging surprise!
