Wow this book was amazing. I can't believe all the drama that is happening. Jake and Jamie story is a tangled web full of secrets and lies. I could not put this book down and after that cliffhanger I need book three.

This picked u right where the first book left us, so we find Jamie facing the results of her decision.

I want this to be spoiler free so I'll try to just give some of my thoughts!!

This felt a much longer read than "Giving In". Not sure if that's just me! I think I felt this due to the increased level of in depth involvement we had here rather than the initial intro quickfire in the first book. Being the second book it has the big responsibility to get a lot of the story happening now out, explaining pasts and trying to set up for book three as well! And altho it can be quite hefty, we learn a massive amount on the White siblings that helps explain a few things.

There is a very noticeable difference of character personality changes. Some for the better, some not. And just when you think you've got one character and their personality sorted... They go and change it suddenly... breaking hearts in the book and out!

The one thing I was a little sad about was the disappearance of Jamie's quirks. When we first met her she was a little spifure, stood up to Jake, made her opinions be heard. Her curiosity seems to vanish too. And any more searching for her lost brother seems to screech to a halt. I understand in relationships people can change clightly and the couple find each others grooves. But Jake not only dominates in the bedroom, but also everywhere else! And there are plenty of examples that show where Jamie says that she wants to leave somewhere but Jake doesn't. So they don't and terrible consequences occur affecting everyone.

Jake is getting more dominant with Jamie and seems to be introducing small aspects of BDSM into their play. Mostly just tying up Jamie's hands, spanking and orgasm control. I'm not sure why but I expect rougher or perhaps less consensual sex - especially when he has one of his anger attacks.... BUT there's been none to Dard and he's never been violent yo her.

The story is still a mystery to me with what happens but that's how I love it!! The story is building really well with great characters that you both love and hate. It's easy to relate to them, not the situation like Mafia but certainly feelings!

I'm expecting the next and final book to be pretty action packed considering the way it was left, and especially with what Jake and Rose have to face as soon as we open it! Can't wait!

And what a cliffhanger!!!!! Its a two parter!!! So double the *gasp* and double the waiting patiently (cough!!)

I received a copy of the ebook in return for an honest review

Holy smokes, this is one of my top books of the year. I freaking loved it! There’s so many twists and turns throughout this book that left me feeling almost every emotion going. I loved Jake & Rose’s loyalty to one another, and seeing Sam go through a constant battle of falling in line or defending Rose. Nathan… what are you playing at?! I know there’s gotta be more to why he’s doing what he’s doing, but I’m unsure at this point, that whatever the reason is, it’ll justify his actions. There’s so much character development in this book and I’m all for it. We get lots of answers after the cliff hanger at the end of book 1 and then, BOOM! Another cliffy gets thrown into the mix at the end of the book, leaving your head wanting to explode
