This was a mega cute nanny x single parent Christmassy romance!
I really loved how clear their communication was and that they both wanted everything to be above board, not just because of the power imbalance but for the sake of Violet's health and happiness.
I also really appreciated how this talked about absent/toxic mothers. First time I've read such a young child and an adult talking about how some mothers just fail and aren't interested in parenting. It was refreshing to see!

Cute! Not christmassy at all though. The only things that are christmassy about this book are that the story takes place around christmas, mmc’s last name is Holiday, and the cover has santa on it. I picked this up for festive vibes and it did not provide. It was still a cute story overall and a fun quick read! I might read the next one because these books are so short, and I’m hoping that it feels more festive

(A) I'm not totally into the whole nanny and single dad trope. This was also childhood friends (sort of) so I gave it 2 stars.
