He needed to belong to someone. He craved submission, acceptance, the bond that could only exist when power was given freely. It was an inborn need, but he didn’t want just any Master. He wanted them. He needed them. Together.

Wow this book wrecked me and I'm not sure why I'm surprised. Joel Abernathy creates settings that are perfectly built and characters you can't help but care for. Arden and Vox stole my heart and didn't give it back. I was a bit nervous about this being an MMM+ story but Leo, Dusk, Elan, and Harding each brought something unique and special to the group. I really enjoyed that we saw from all their different point of views, it really made you feel like you were part of their brotherhood. A dark paranormal romance full of ghouls, vampires, fae, elf, and shifters. An addicting world that I can't wait to get back to in book 2!!

"Some things were just meant to be felt rather than understood, and Arden decided this was one of them."

I don't know how to describe it but it felt very superficial overall? There was more telling than showing and the dialogue between characters was a bit simplistic and predictable. I'm still planning on reading the next book though.

Summary: Arden was created to be a vampire killing machine when he gets kidnapped by the Brotherhood organization. They give him a serum to become a chimera which gives him a more submissive personality and it turns out chimera's need lots of sex partners for reasons.

Oh my goodness this book was a complete surprise to me, it was incredible! The world building, all the characters are so distinctive, the plots and subplots...wow the entire thing blew me away! I really need the next book as soon as physically possible.

I like the idea, but it also feels a bit shallow. Maybe it's because I'm having a hard time buying into Arden and his emotional responses to the people and situations around him. I do love the potential for angst (my favourite kind of romance), so we'll see how it goes in the next book.
