wat the fuck you just did dear mia sheridan? wat the fuck you did to me? again.

another great story, the kind of that unique and powerful and full of broken glasses.
and this fucking story like -you're feeling waves is rising and rising and the water all around you but only over your shoulder and its raining so you're afraid of the flood but you're still able to looking at the sky and smiling to sun. and suddenly, an unexpected moment, just in a blink you are finding yourself under the water and now sun is blurred and you're trying to swim while going under, then i light coming up and you're full of hope but your eyes closing and there is no more breath of a life...
then you're understanding what to do so all you need is sink and wait for book 2.

I SAID I KNEW WHAT WAS WAITING FOR ME BUT THIS ONE WAS SO CRUEL! AND I KNOW TOO BOOK 2 IS ENDING HAPPY EVER AFTER BUT I CANT CALM MYSELF AND CANT QUIET DOWN MY SADNESS!!!

im pathetic. i wanna die right under the eclipse and the water.

Holy crap, I was SO SCARED while reading this novel. There was so much suspense I had to read the companion novel immediately after finishing this one.

Between 4 and 4.5 stars.

Do yourself a favor and skip the reviews to avoid learning too much bout this book.

Mia Sheridan is fast becoming one of my favorite authors with the breadth with which she explores the NA and contemporary romance genre.

I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. I don't know why considering the fact that I have never given any book I've read by Mia Sheridan less that 4 stars. I don't know why it took me a while to find this author and her books. Every single one I pick up blows my mind and makes me think and re-evaluate how I see everything. She has a gift for making you feel so many emotions all at once.

Becoming Calder was beautifully heartbreaking. There was so much pain and suffering, but it was so beautiful. I could not put it down and I just loved everything about it. The characters were strong and hopeful and they just kept on going despite all the suffering they went through. I could not believe the all that went on and my heart really did go out to them.

Becoming Calder was beautifully written. I would recommend that you go into this book completely blind, without knowing anything. This story will touch you more deeply if you are not aware of the anything. I would recommend that you pick this up if you're a fan of Mia Sheridan and if you just love heartwarming stories.

5 Butterscotch Stars...!!!

It had been a while since I read a Mia Sheridan book. I picked up Becoming Calder because I wanted a story with a soul. And boy did I get one.!

Becoming Calder was so different from the earlier book by the author that I had to check whether it was actually from her. It was set in a world so different and wrong that my mind was rebelling to read any further. Acadia actually scared me a little. I was in terror that do such worlds actually exist? It was a difficult pill to swallow. I think that might actually be the intention of the author.

Anyway, I waded through and completed the story and all I found in the end was beauty, pure unadulterated beauty. How Eden and Calder find each other in a land of no hope and built a fortress of hope is written and depicted so magically that it actually shifts something inside you.

They were two anomalies in a land rotten and they flourish nonetheless into two beautiful people. Their love for each other forms their strength and their weakness. Their love guides them out of hell and gives them a chance at living free.

I loved the way they were entwined together. Like the clouds and the river. Both couldn't exist without each other. They were the substantial for each others existence.

All in all this book just proves that when you read a Mia Sheridan story be ready to be emotionally invested in it. It will drive your soul. I still could shed a tear or two remembering the end which was soul wrenching.

I'm gonna read Finding Eden now and hope you all pick up Becoming Calder because it is one of a kind!!

I read this very late into the night and I loved it so so much. Currently reading Finding Eden and I'm not sure if its going to be as good as this one.

Calling all screen writers, all film producers, all studios, Metro Goldwyn Mayer if they still exist, 20th century Fox, Warner Bros, Handmade Films, Disney please snatch this up. I can see the pure bliss that this would be as a film. It will be Oscar winning, Ballon D'Or, BAFTA.

Blue lagoon of bliss. Workers' bonfires. Flood rehearsals. I see it big screen. Morning glory. Butterscotch. Epic.

I can feel the sob burning in my chest for release at just how moved I feel by this book. I have loved everything I have read by Mia Sheridan and I feel so priveledged and humbled to know I read this on the day of release.

Absolute must read. I won't begin to mention plot, character, emotion - this is Mia you get it all in spades.

I normally like to clip my favourite quotes, but I don't want to delay Finding Eden any longer; she needs me.
