Someone needs to tell this girl that more plot twists does not equal a better story. The concept was cool but was poorly executed. The writing was hard to get through, and Isla is probably the dumbest character I’ve ever read.

Okay okay okay.
I do not get why there’s so much hate towards this book!! I absolutely loved it. The character development?!!! Oh yeah. Also the story, the romance, the characters as a whole — I cannot wait for the next book to come out!!!!!

Hunger Games vibes - both with the organized fighting and the love triangle. The difference is the leaders are the ones who fought, not random citizens. The love triangle was basically the same - one who was a potential previous love who overprotected her in hopes to keep her safe and the other who developed love through pushing her to her limit to make her stronger.
