There was one mention of an autistic child that was really, really poorly worded and made it clear that the author does not understand neurodiversity. If she was going to include that detail in passing reference to someone who wasn’t even a character in the book, she should’ve left it out or done one Google search to understand the way she described it is not how autism works.
I read this very quickly, mostly because I was waiting for it to become the book I thought and hoped it would be. It never was. The characters fell flat and there was no really development. This was disappointing.
