A fairly cute romance in the portion that I read, but I took a break from reading it and wasn’t interested enough to return to it.
I have to admit that the more time I had to really consider how often the FL talks about her Harry Potter underwear getting wet, the less likely it became that I would finish the book. I mean I appreciate that HP was one of her special interests but the repetition of the undies mentions and their varying dampness was mildly off putting.
Also the ML is a huge (size wise) virgin, which could be a plus or minus depending on the reader. I have no opinion either way.

The second book in this series, I liked this one a little less than the first one. Though, I believe that was probably because there were a few more cringe moments in this book than there was in the first book. The to-the-reader moments were a bit much, and that took me out often. However, overall, it was an enjoyable listen.
Ren is a precious sunshine boy and it’s a delightful twist to the grump/sunshine vibe when she’s the grump. He’s sweet, he’s caring, and basically an A+ book boyfriend. Frankie is a bitter little rain cloud and I love that for her. These two are opposites and I did adore that.
If you’re in the book for a grump/sunshine mix with the guy being a giant golden retriever, then this is probably the book for you.

Man, these Bergman Brothers are such warm gooey cinnamon rolls, and I love it! Ren is so kind and observant. Not just of Frankie, but all those in his circle. He is even-keeled, especially for a professional hockey player. Yet, when he isn’t quite able to contain his anger, he is still somehow in control and glorious.
Frankie and Ren have been working together, so to speak, for a few years. Both have felt that inexplicable pull from the very start. Ren is very aware that it would be inappropriate to pursue someone who works for the hockey team he plays for. Especially since it could put her job in jeopardy. Frankie has worked hard to be independent and tough. She has to keep an arm’s length from all of the players to keep her control of all the situations she is in with these huge men. She doesn’t ever let them see her sweat. There’s only so much time that can go by without the two of them giving in to that pull. But it happens slowly and with the full awareness that they are entering into shaky territory.
This is a grumpy/sunshine book that filled me with joy. Seeing Frankie slowly smile more and more as the story progressed was so heartening. And seeing Ren realize he didn’t always have to be “on” for Frankie, or for anyone for that matter, was a relief.
Not only were these two very sweet together, but they were also a lot of fun. Frankie has the best exclamatory sayings, and Ren’s use of Shakespeare for his cussing is endearing. They’re good together and with others. When Frankie spends one on one time with Ren’s sister Ziggy, a lot of tears were shed.
So far, the books in this series are like a warm, cozy blanket on a winter night. Comforting and soft and just right.

LOVED this one! I laughed so hard so many times. I enjoyed this even more than the first Bergman brothers book. This was a hilarious and touching slow burn romance that I know I will be reading again. Ren is an adorable cinnamon roll hero, and Frankie is hilarious and so relatable. They both are! Loved all the Shakespeare (especially the team's Midsummer Night's Dream ritual), joking pet names, witty one-liners, and generally the whole experience.

Holy chemistry and sweetness! Always Only You delivers on all fronts for a quality romance. Ren is just the sweetest, he is sensitive and thoughtful, a man written by women. I love the relationship that Ren and Frankie build together, they have such a genuine connection and make each other feel safe and loved completely. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to continue on in this series.
