The Last Story by Christopher Pike

I DNF this one hard - I made it maybe 20 pages in. This feels so masturbatory and gross, and honestly I'm so done and exhausted with this series. Also, it has not aged well AT ALL by coming right out of the gate by knocking on those who are active participants in the Special Olympics - YIKES!

Save yourself the time and energy and don't even bother.

I enjoyed this book and the series. I thought it was well-written and was a decent rewarding experience. When I first read it, I didn't know the series was as old as it was. This just proves that just because a book or series is old, doesn't make it bad (Agatha Christie and Edgar Allan Poe being great examples)

Same as the last.  A little too much astral plane but I did like the new actor character and the part he brought along.  Lizard people indeed.  Was put off with how they totally wiped Jean and Lenny's real characters.

Not Pike's best work, but far from unreadable. I didn't like the story within a story and felt that it took up too much space in the book. I still think that the first book was good as a stand alone novel and didn't need two more books

An unnecisasary installment. It should have ended with Remember Me. Although it was a decent story.

I didn’t think this book was half bad, but it was my least favorite out of the whole series. The reason I gave it three stars was because of this line here, “To my surprise, Peter had left me a message saying he was going to a program with the yogi, and that he wouldn’t be home until eleven o’clock. It was almost as is he were giving me permission to cheat on him.” I absolutely hate that. He was not giving her permission at all! She spun that herself because she was so self-absorbed in The Last Story. Also, there were soooo many typos. I counted over 10, I’m not even kidding you. This book was not my favorite.

Il libro fa veramente pietà, deve essere uno scherzo dell'autore, non me lo spiego!
