I love everything written by Molly Young. This slightly nosy investigation of a familicide happened in a sleepy Cape Cod town where she and her partner escaped New York City during 2020's shelter in place. It took me about an hour to read this book which is less of a brag on my reading skills and more of a testament to Young's wit, writing and research.

“Invisibly and silently, in trenches far beneath the surface, we find the twist-tie to bind our storylines together: Life, death, infection, genetics, water.”

Brilliantly written, marvelously paced, well-researched and breezy. This is the second zine/chapbook/monograph I’ve read by Molly Young and it’s leaps and bounds ahead of the other (which was also very good, lest I imply it wasn’t). Looking forward to reading more by her soon!

I enjoyed this. Really nice short read that pulled together a lot of different little strings.

Wild. Weird. Wonderful. I could read her prose all day long. This bite-sized zine has everything of the sort and I’m here for it all.
