I would honest give it closer to a 4.5 cause i wasn’t really feeling what happened with her twin brother ig it’s cause i’m a twin too but idk that threw me off. I finished reading this book tho and i really loved it aside from that part.

This was my first Kay Shanee book. I saw Tori (@blackromanceconnoisseur) talk about it and the cover was to gorgeous for me not to check it out.
I absolutely loved this book. Zola and Gabe have a meet cute at an 90s themed party and have instant chemistry but they don’t get a chance to exchange information. As luck would have it Zola has an interview with an up and coming chef the next day and as you guessed it the chef was Gabe.
This was such a beautiful story about love, healing and forgiveness. They were both dealing with painful pasts and I loved how they helped each other find ways to heal.
I also really loved how they loved each other.
I’ll definitely be checking out more of Kay Shanee’s work.

This book was sooooo good. A romance at its best. This author is the best at love at first sight and the connection of soul mates. She puts in the perfect mix of drama in her stories. Zola and Gabe were so swoon worthy and the mix of 90’s music was just the right touch.

Wow! Gabe and Zola--I really loved this couple. For all the personal tragedy they both suffered in the past, it was amazing that they still had room in their hearts for each other. I absolutely adored the instant attraction, sexy AF chemistry--heck, straight up insta-love! I laughed a lot, cried a lot, did a little bit of *gasping* but most of all, I loved these two so hard! From the moment Gabe and Zola met, it was like everything fell into place for them--a lot of love and a whole lotta healing.
The throwback to the 90s music was a wonderful and special bonus too!
