I adore this book. It has completely changed my perspective on heaven and goodness and submission to God's will. I love spending time to ponder what I see of myself in the characters. It's made me a better person and I'm convinced it has something for everyone.

A later review: I still love this book and the lessons it teaches, despite never having really believed in hell. I'm not saying I agree with every theocratic idea here, but each scenario is very thought-provoking in a helpful, motivating way.

I wanted to DNF this out of spite. Very annoying book. Reminded me of why I didn't like my Philosophy 101 class. Not the fun kind of philosophy, it's the kind that uses long, overdrawn examples. And is very white in a way I can't explain. I mean, I could explain it, but that would take way too long. The only thing I like about it is the idea that Heaven and Hell are sort of neutral / based on perspective, but those concepts truly are just concepts (ideas pitched out and explained to all hell, pun intended) when it comes to the book as a whole.

A great small book that makes you think and for the first time I was comfortable reading about religion and god. The language is really warm and some ideas in the book are definitely worth discussing. I read this lovely book in a few hours and feel really peaceful, my previous read was emotional rollercoaster so this one was a true healing session!
