ALL IN ALL, IT WAS A PRETTY MEDIOCRE READ

AND BE FOREWARNED THAT ITS MOSTLY JUST ROMANCE AND THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO MAGIC OR ANYTHING PARANORMAL IN THE BOOK

If your searching for a book with romance and adventure it is the book for you. The style is super fluid and the book full of references to myth and children stories.
Can’t wait to read the next book !

I enjoyed this book. It was a very cute romance overall. I was confused at first because I did not realize it was a fictional world based off of out own. Once I realized that, the book flowed so much better.

My only complaint is that for someone who was supposedly raised to be a ruler, Selah is very naive. It could definitely be because of the time period it is base off of but I am not 100% sure. I did enjoy the change Selah made throughout the book though. The way she grew and changed over the course of the novel is exactly the kind of story I love.

The story itself is more or less predictable. I figured out what was going on pretty quickly. To me, that did not take away from the story and I look forward to reading then next book in the series.
