Not totally sure on my thoughts of this? There were parts I enjoyed and parts I didn't care for - overall I just feel eh about it.

I enjoyed the multiple (and sometimes conflicting) POVs and the book within a book sort of feel. But I think the message got a bit lost

But I'm still interested in watching the movie soon!

I read this because I saw the movie, and realized it was a book. I love all of the references to Gothic literature, and thought that both the book and the movie are so fun. I was a little bit shocked by the epilogue and it left me reeling and I still don't really know how to feel about it...

The story was at times amusing and at times thoughtful, but I liked it better before I read Victoria's letter at the end. I did keep wondering how this could possibly be made into a movie.
