Love a good small town murder mystery and this one was so good!
Definitely requires a bit of suspension of disbelief as some of the things the main character does or is able to gain access to is a little unbelievable, but overall really enjoyed it!

Also recommend checking trigger warnings because there were a lot of things in this book I was not expecting

I LOVED this book. It kept me guessing and guessing on who the killer of Andie Bell and Sal Singh could be. Most mystery books make it pretty obvious but never lay the groundwork in a meaningful way. This author does.

Every chapter kept me on my toes. At times I thought this book was reading my mind and then a curveball would be thrown in and I’d be left reeling.

I loved following along with Pip and Ravi making my own theories as they went. I also loved the subplot
Spoiler of these two crushing hard on each other. It is what I like to call a sweet and slow burn. There’s something so wholesome about the both of them, I can’t help but root for them!

I love Pip. I love Ravi. I love Pip and Ravi together. But most importantly and to end this review properly. RIP Sal and RIP
Spoiler Barney

This was a reread of one of my favourite books of all time. I love this story so much, and even though I will never again be able to read it for the first time, not knowing anything about what happens, I still find something new in the story every time I read it.
There are so many twists and turns in this book that it keeps you gripped until the final page, and then you immediately want to read the next book, Good Girl Bad Blood. The characters are developed so well and seem so real, and you root for Pip throughout, feeling the same emotions she does along this rollercoaster. It also helps that I am the same age as Pip, and we are very similar people, so it feels as if I could be right there alongside her.

The murder mystery good and fast pace, but overall the YA aspect just felt forced and tacky. There was also a lot of poor parenting being presented as good and normal (Pip's father is at one point okay with his daughter going out in a too-short dress to a high school party with alcohol, drugs, etc.) Pip is also incredibly unrealistic as a character and is completely unrelatable.

This book is a piece of perfection...I was literally screaming inside with every tyrn this story took...it will have you had scratch your brain in the middle of the night, just to think what will happen next. For me it was a pure goosebumps read. This is the first pure mystery book I have read, and I am thankful to my past self for adding this book to my TBR.
I fricking loved this book!
