One of my favorite murder mysteries I’ve read. Had a traditional twist but I liked how it also leaned into the tropes often found in true crime moreso than murder mysteries. Examples like martyring the white girl, blaming the brown person, police negligence, and communities being ruined. Definitely need to read the other two because I need to know how the loose ends come together.

  • I like this book, I personally didn't expect the plot twist and I found it hard to put down once I picked it up

If I didn’t finish this book in class, I’d be bawling my eyes out.

No words, only a phenomenal story.

Oh my God. That was amazing.

Before I go on about how much I enjoyed this book, I just want to say how none of this would have worked IRL 😭. All of the evidence would’ve been declared unsafe (thanks Criminology) because she literally broke the law to find it??? But, it’s ok.

This is definitely one of the better books I’ve read recently. It was just so fun and exciting. Pip was such a great main character and the fact that she did all of this while still studying to go to Cambridge is mind-boggling to me.

RAVI SINGH, BRO. I SHIP HIM AND PIP SO HARD. If she doesn’t want him, then I’ll happily take him TBH. Bro, he was so sweet and genuinely kind. That is a rarity for British boys.

Also, thank God this book represents British people well because there’s so many books that represent us so badly and it feels mocking. The slang in this book is accurate.

I genuinely could not guess who killed Andie??? There were so many suspects and they were all so suspicious.
Spoiler ELLIOT AND BECCA THOUGH??? They were the most unexpected suspects, yet it makes so much sense.

Genuinely need the second book right now.
