well-written YA mystery! while the mystery grew complicated, it was still an easy read for me. main character was likable and all their motivations made sense. not too far from reality, other than perhaps the fact that a high school student can have so much access to confidential crime info so easily, with enough time and resources to be fully invested in this while still in school. but it was realistic as it could be. twist was also reasonable and believable. let’s see if i get to read the next ones in this series!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the plot, the characters, the author's style of writing - everything.
It was fun trying to solve the murder before the main characters could but the twists almost always threw me off (though, I'm not complaining, that's what makes a thriller good.)

This book sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. I was gobsmacked with all the twists. I was holding my breath, clutching my shirt collar when the suspense was building. I couldn't help but smile at the sweet moments, especially between Pip and Ravi. And this is one of the very few books that legitimately made me cry
Spoilergetting a detailed description of how Sal was murdered. He was the sweetest, kindest person to walk this Earth and he didn't deserve that

Personally, I'd say this book is quite fast paced, it pulls you right in. It is a real page turner. I finished this book in 1 month, 10 days. I know people finish books quicker than that but for a procrastinator like me, that's quite the achievement.

The few minor issues I had was how the main character was so willing to confront a potential killer, sometimes alone. I also wanted her to just tell someone about the threats she was receiving, though, I can understand the various reasons she'd want to keep that to herself. Furthermore, towards the very end
Spoilerit's blatantly obvious what Becca is doing with the tea and the tissue, how did the very intelligent Pip, who just solved 2 murders, not suspect her tea would be drugged?!
So that just felt a bit odd and slightly out of character to me, in my opinion.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson was exciting and suspenseful throughout. I really loved the characters, and the way the plot unfolded. For me, I think I had a dash too much chaos, but it was understandable given the inexperience of our resident sleuth. A lot of the information felt like it was obtained in a very sneaky way, but ultimately I really liked it and enjoyed the way the investigation took twists and turns to reveal information. I liked the mix of writing styles between interviews, texts, transcripts, and regular prose. I think the variety added a lot to the enjoyment of the story and@made the investigation feel as real as if it had actually happened. I’m excited to see where the next book in this series leads, and that this series is getting made into a TV show soon!

This book is about a high school senior who decides for her senior project to solve a murder that happened to a student at her high school several years prior. The victim, Andie, was beautiful and beloved. Her alleged murderer was her boyfriend, Sal. Sal died by suicide a few days after Andie's disappearance. Pip never believed that Sal did it and she sets out to prove it. This book has a Veronica Mars vibe to it. It was an easy audiobook to listen to and I was genuinely interested in the mystery. It was a nice break from all the heavy books that I tend to read.
