I loved this book, I read most of it in one sitting and I was sad when I got to the end. I thought that the premise of the book was super unique and interesting. The way the chapters were laid out with the 'production logs' was really fun and I liked that they weren't just for show and you actually learnt stuff that was relevant to the plot through them. I spent the entire book trying to figure out who the murderer was and I want to reread the book and see how many bits of foreshadowing I can spot now I know the ending. I will say though that
SpoilerI'm not sure I can forgive the author for killing the dog
.

I'm really glad that the writer has more books in this series and I can't wait to get my hands on them!

i quite enjoyed this book! the ending was really well done in my opinion and i liked the mixed media element of it all.

the only thing that i found a bit odd was that the main character is doing all this for a freaking school project and she is acting like a detective plus gains access to a lot of personal information about all suspects.
but i guess that is part of this being YA bc how else would she be so young and solving a case without the police.

overall as i said highly entertaining book and i will hopefully read the sequels to this one day.

Pip was quirky and relatable at first, but the writer just goes so intensely hard on “she’s a nerd guys!! She’s a nerd by the way! Did you know she’s smart and a nerd and also a witty nerd too” please let this girl have other personality traits, my god

Excellent mystery. I thought I knew what was happening and who was responsible and I was only partially right! I was very drawn to the story and kept picking it up because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen!

It’s a great read and now I’m going to have to do the whole series 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was an incredible book. The characters and the plot line were so incredibly well planned and executed. I watch and read a lot of crime based shows, movies and books and often find myself working out the ending way before I reach it but with this, there were so many options and twists that I found myself guessing over and over again as the plot developed.

The audiobook only added to my reading experience with this book as it is a full cast audiobook but it also has phone calls as actual phone calls, when Pip is reading from her case notes, you can hear the movement of paper, when she records conversations, you can hear the equipment whirring and beeping etc. The audiobook was a fully immersive experience and it was brilliant.
