4/5 starts - PNR RH (Gray) - Warning there is torture both active and flashback - This is a wonderful introduction to an academy series. This book falls before the characters enter the academy and ends on a mild cliffhanger. Sage is an interesting character, while she has been abused by the parental figure in her life she is determined to not let it break her. She meets the guys her senior year in high school, which all starts a roller coaster of a ride to discovering the truth about who she is and what has really happened to her. Things are changing for Sage and the world may never be the same after all is said and done.

Blurb was intriguing and had me intrigued... initially. However, as i got further into the book I really struggled to stay focused on what was going on. Barely finished.... snd I honestly couldn't care what happens next...

Felt like I was reading a really long prequel. Could have been worse, I think I’ll read the second one.

Grammar, spelling and needs more editing

I really wanted to enjoy this book but it was so very difficult to. So many spelling errors and grammar mistakes. Please know that and apostrophe does not make something plural, it shows possession. The use of British terms was confusing when the setting appears to be the US: windscreen vs. windshield, bobby pin vs. hair grabber, and other phrasing that is simply more of a British phrase (give them a ring vs. calling them). It was super distracting. Also it just kept going with the powers. She has mma and extensive weapons training from an assassin but can't defend herself against a drunk? She has telekinesis, "nature" powers, healing powers and more seem to be sprinkled in as we go, talk about overkill. What is even the point of imprinted tattoos in general if this entire story is only related to the soulmate one. Why do the guys have issues? We focus entirely on Sage and really do not get much insight into their motivation or pasts. The bones of the idea is good but this book needs editing a ton by a peer from the US and someone to reign in the ideas and help the author restructure.

This book was very interesting. I thought the idea for it was great but could’ve been written differently.

There’s a lot of grammatical errors in this book, but I still enjoyed reading it. I only gave this one 3 stars because of that and it felt rushed. I think if this book was longer and more detailed I would have given it 4 stars. But like I said it’s still a quick and enjoyable read if you’re bored.

WOW

It was absolutely amazing I loved everything about it from the way sage and her men overcame stuff that no one else would. I can’t wait to start the second one

I wasn’t so sure at the beginning of the book, but I really liked it at the end. The characters are intriguing, the story is good and I’m curious about the new setting that’s going to develop in the second book.

Loved it!

I really did love this book (KU) but did not love the amount of typos!
5/5 though coz I loved the story and any book with a kickass girl is always a winner
