Lisa Kessler begins her new Moon series with Moonlight, the story of werewolf shapeshifter Adam Sloan. A rancher and heir to his pack, Adam is hunting jaguar shifters when he scents one in the local diner. Who he finds in Lana Turpin, who knows nothing of her past, but knows she wakes up during the new moon with no recollection of her past. Added to this is a secret organization that wants her back, even though she knows nothing about them. Lana and Adam are left trying to piece together her past while also forging a new future.
One of the things that I enjoyed about this book was the dual point of views, alternating between both Lana and Adam’s POV. This was important because it gave additional insight and depth about the issues and events the hero and heroine dealt with throughout the story. Lana was portrayed as a survivor, who uses her intelligence and fortitude to find answers about her past at any cost. Adam is a natural protector who wants to support Lana and his pack, with a vested interest in discovering her past. It was interesting to get Lisa Kessler’s take on the differences between jaguar and wolf shifters as she wove a love story between the two species. The supporting characters from the wolf pack only add to the novel and help set up the rest of the series.

An interesting story with a bit of Romeo and Juliet thrown in. Lana has been blacking out during the full moon since she was 18, when she goes in for a CAT scan in hopes of finding answers she instead ends up with people chasing her. Meeting up with Adam (a werewolf) is surprising finding out what she(werejaguar) is and what he is, shocking. Now with someone out to get her (reasons still unknown) and Adam trying to protect her from his pack's notice they both end up on a bumpy ride.
Tones more going on that what I've written but this was a really interesting book so I don't want to give it away. 4 stars!

So. I genuinely believe I've read worse. But. Here's what I didn't like.
- Every single character (but especially the side characters) are blank sheets of paper. I generally had problems with the characters. The main two were both dumb and annoying, the whole cast of characters had either the most basic name or a variation/ "uncommon" version. I was sick of it. All the twins seemed to be legally bound to have names that started with the same letter (Adam and aren, gabe and Gareth, Jared and Jason, and so forth).
- The plot. All over the place. But i have to admit that at some point it was just funny. Someone is dying on page and I could not stop laughing at the ridiculousness of the book and the fact that i could not care less about any of the characters (probably because they're blank).
- The feelings between the main characters progressed at a place that did not seem realistic to me. It seems to me the author tried to "show" but failed at that so often that she used "tell" as a backup. Plus, who falls in love in two days (when their not even forced into close proximity)??
- It was absolutely weird to me that he called his father by first name. I don't even like my father and i would do that.
- The MMC is categorized as a player (why obviously changes with the meet cute - which wasn't cute in my opinion). That bothered me. He was kind of smarmy like that.
- So much of this book didn't make sense.
That's stupid. Is this camera on? - That's stupid!!
But there is a good side to this. And it is mostly that i can now reread my funny-as-hell comments in the eBook. They always make my day brighter.

while I am not a fan of the cover (only because it’s not a front shot)I still found this book amazing. I had read maybe three books about Werewolf’s when Moonlight came across my way. And can I just say wow! Lisa Kessler did an amazing job with mixing romance with paranormal and not have it come off too paranormal. I tend to try and stay away from the books told in dual POV’s and I’m glad I didn’t know that it was otherwise I may not have been so inclined to read it right away, More at

It was a quick solid read. I wasn't a big fan of Adam for 50 Percent of the book cause he was trying to hide his mate from his family i understand where he was coming from by the end but that didn't sit well with me for some time after that i got over it. I liked Lana for most of the part a good solid protagonist in my opinion. I like how it concluded with then having a family. But maybe there is more to them? Dnt know for sure will continue reading the next book to find out maybe.

I really didn’t like this book as nothing was developed and the whole story was rushed.
Adam and Lana could have been ok characters, but I hated how they barely met and they were instantly in love. I understood that they were mates, but that doesn't mean that they don’t need to get to know each other, especially since they are different species.
I didn’t really like the plot as it all seemed overly dramatic.
Not many side characters were actually shown, which I didn’t like since Adam was supposed to be part of a pack so I thought that there should have been other characters. Adam’s brother, Aren, was mentioned and I didn’t really like him, so I don’t really care about his book, especially if his mate is who I think she is. The only other side character that was mentioned quite often was Sebastian and while he seemed interesting, I don’t really like how this author wrote this story.
I don’t think that I’ll continue with this series as I’m not interested in Aren’s book and I don’t really care to see what will happen with the plot.
