WOW. Just wow. This was my first every thriller / mystery book and I loved it! This was on my tbr for months but, I finally read it. I read it in 2 days. I was addicted whilst reading this book and sometimes, I forgot I was actually reading.
This book starts off when Jade and Tomas move houses. When Jade meets Emma, their neighbour, she labels her as a 'stereotypical' girl and she is certain that her husband, who she believes has cheated multiple times, will fall for Emma. So when they all have dinner together Jade warns Emma about her husband. After following her husband, Jade is certain that he is having another affair. But, lucky for them, she has a plan that will shake up everyone's life.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the plot and how in the end everything that didn't make sense in the beginning, does in the end. In my opinion, ALL the men that are related to Emma, need anger management classes ASAP. I hated some of the decisions that Emma took but in the end, they all worked out. There are a few trigger warnings like @buse and r@pe in this book. I really liked that the chapters were short (not more that 6+ pages). I also liked that I could read everyone's POV making the story more interesting.
I will definitely recommend this to people especially ones who want to start reading thriller books. I feel like everyone should give this book a try! Once again, do check trigger warnings because this book has some in every few chapters.

I really don’t know if I loved or hated this book. There was so many random plot twists and honestly one of the most head scrambling books I’ve read. It was as if the author wanted to use every possible crime thriller ending and whack it in one. I definitely finished it thinking ‘what has just happened’ which is why I’m giving it this rating as not many books can be like that. It definitely isn’t predictable but the writing is a tad messy and sometimes confusing being from 3 different view points. There should also be a trigger warning for different types of abuse highlighted in the book.

I really don't know what to say about this book, it was twisted and full of drama which I love, but at the same time it went way over the top and really lost me. Amanda Robson has been a hit or miss author for me, the last one a hit so I was excited for this one. I enjoyed it but I didn't love it. I have seen so many great reviews so I feel that I am in the minority here.
2 couples, 4 messed up and crazy people. From the very beginning these characters were unlikeable and that did not change throughout the whole book. Murder, betrayal, revenge, jealously - it is all here.
The narration was great
Thanks to Harper Collins Audio UK for my advanced copy of this book to read.

This story certainly had a lot of twists and turns. Short chapters told by each of the three main protagonists.
The audio book was enjoyable and fairly fast paced. Unfortunately none of the characters are likeable. Indeed all seem to have huge mental health issues. As it moved on the events became more and more unbelievable -so many unbalanced individuals working both together and individually to achieve their goals.
However, if you can suspend belief it is well written and I would look to read other books by this author.

Having read all of Amanda Robson's previous work, I was thrilled to be granted an electronic ARC of her latest book, My Darling; a book that finally comes close to her amazing debut, Obsession.
This was absolutely enjoyable and a thrilling page-turner, made all the more so with its short chapters and fast, no-nonsense pacing. This is a great domestic thriller where you are never really sure who's plotting what and who's gonna fall next. Some happenings were a bit too convenient to be realistic (who reads fiction and thrillers seeking realism though?) but all in all, a very fun read.
Like with all books, I tend to root for the very first character that is introduced and this time was no different. I was also taken by surprise when it revealed which characters the 'Memories' chapters belonged to. The ending was satisfying and I liked how everything came full circle.
Only downside is my ARC has missing headers at times when there is a POV switch, but fortunately it wasn't hard to figure out whose POV it had switched to.
I recommend going into the book with no idea of what to expect i.e. don't read the (thankfully vague) synopsis or reviews. That's the best way to enjoy this delicious thriller.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
