This book is part biography, part teachings of Ajahn Chah. I've read the abridged Chinese version and some of the stories especially dealing with Ajahn Chah's teacher Luang Por Kinaree and Luang Por Tongrat is missing from this version. Perhaps, the Thai version is the most comprehensive version. Anyway, parts of the book made me laugh out loud and while the chapter "Out of compassion" is very touching. Ariyas place strong emphasis on mind while us wordlings dwell in the world of five senses.
