I can say this is such an easy-read book. Besides the writing being so light and easy to read, this book also separates several parts so that can be easily understood; Ryusei’s POV, Chie’s POV, and Fumi-nee’s POV. I like how the author manages to put the reader in each character’s shoes, including how the reader knows how complex each character is in this book.

But sadly, I felt like the more I read this book, the more I realized that this story seems rushed and the issues are getting wider and out of control, especially when I reach Part Three. I understand the author wants to explain Miwako’s life through Fumi-nee, and even though I felt shocked by some scenes and the story still exquisite to follow but it left me— “Oh,  this out of line.”

Also, this is such a good book, I admit, but I expect something more for the mystery portion. And I regret that at the end when Ryusei chose to stay longer in Kitsuyama, the author wasn’t explained exactly what he was doing. It intrigued me. 

As what I said, this is such a good book but I expect something more.

Slight glorification of suicide aside, this is a fantastic book. Characters are so compelling and rich, and I really felt like I was learning and growing them. I would recommend it to anyone
