This was my first time reading Scarlett Dunn and I was not disappointed. A good start to her The McBride Brothers series. An even better mail-order bride story that has it’s own twist.

I received access to this as an E-book from the publisher via Netgalley in return for an honest review.

As far as Christian, Historical Romance goes, this book is about as close to perfect as I have ever come across. The characters are gritty and believable. The plot has just enough tension to keep you on the edge of your seat but still resolves nicely in the end. The bad guy is just the right amount of bad and actually plays a part in the whole book. The only thing I would have liked better is if the book had carried on for another chapter or two so that we could see

Victoria and Colt's wedding and a little bit into their life as a married couple

. I am so excited that this is the first book in the series and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book(s)! I will definitely be buying a physical copy of this book!
