I mean ok. There are some serious bonehead moves going on in here but I couldn't stop reading, so.

I finished this!! Yay!!!

It was okay. Overall, I liked the series. It was fine. I just didn't find anything truly memorable or fantastic about it. I'm glad I finished it though!!

It was perfect.
As a conclusion, it gave me everything I needed, but especially CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. I can't believe I went from despising the characters in book one to loving and rooting for them in book four. Artful. A work of mastery.

Characters? Chef's kiss.
Romance? Flawless.
Plot? A+

The world was magical. We got princesses and politics and street gangs and wizards and magical military school and SO MUCH LORE.

This series is criminally underrated.

The fact that I had thought of not reading this series just because I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book; I can’t imagine.
I really enjoyed this one, though the one downfall it had was the beginning took me a LONG time to get into. It seemed very heavy set on politics at the start and it took me weeks to finish it, but the middle to end just made it for me.

That end made me cry. The epilogue and last chapter had me wiping my eyes and wishing it wasn’t over.
Crow deserves his own book, as one of my favourite characters I want more!! Alas I loved how everything came together and the final outcome of the characters. I’m looking forward to the other series in this universe and I hope I’ll like it just as much (if not more).
