Another wonderful read. I like how the hunters are more community based now, even before they've all found lifemates. It's been a long series and I hope it's able to continue forever.

4.5. True return of one of the greats. Some fun twists, sexy laughs and high drama from a queen of paranormal romance at her best.

This book brought me back to why I first liked this series. Like so many others have said, some of her later books in the series have not been good. Too much repetition and while I don't mind a little smut, too much in some of them for me. This book had a great story that drew me in and made me root for the main characters. She also wrote the side characters in such a way that now I want to read the quest for their life mates.

I loved this story. Andor finds himself in a situation with human hunters. He's wounded from fighting actual vampires ... and they mistake him for a vampire.
Lorraine comes to his defense ... and stays with him. I love the slow build of their relationship and the steps she takes to save him. Greggory, Sandu, and Ferro answer Andor's call and stay to protect them until he's able to travel.
GREAT story ... they're discovering Sergey may be even more dangerous than they originally thought. Great world building and moving the story forward.
The cliffhanger at the end has me eagerly anticipating Ferro's book!

I’ve been reading this author for a long time and don’t see that changing anytime soon. The characters and the story line in Dark Sentinel were just as great as always but it was a super slow read for me and I found myself skimming a lot to get through it.
