Just wow.
Machado’s writing is beautiful and melts like a pat of butter on warm toast. Her description of events and way of writing without giving explicit detail but using metaphor to detail her points is incredible. Being able to articulate all this while writing about something deeply traumatic and person is inspiring.

I have never seen emotional and psychological abuse written like this before and I am so grateful for this work. Carmen is a gifted writer and I will be thinking about the dream house for a long time to come.
