I enjoyed reading this book. It's a very quick and easy read, but quite funny and adorable.
This is the first Bad Kitty book I have read after the [book:Bad Kitty|690955] picture book, which I also enjoyed. While this book does have chapter headings, there is not very much text and it mostly relies on the pictures. This is not inherently bad, but I think it is good to know going into it. It reads more like a picture book or graphic novel, rather than a chapter book.
I did like that there were little educational things thrown in like why cats can't eat chocolate, why cats scratch things, and different breeds of cats. It's a great way for young readers to learn about cats in a fun and humorous way.
Great book for cat lovers. This is a fun read that we cat people can really relate to.

This is a cute chapter book series meant for kids grade 1 and up. I’m currently reading this series to my toddler but he enjoys learning about Bad Kitty’s adventures and this one is no different. Wonderful and silly, I definitely recommend this book series.

Bad Kitty is back! And this time it's her birthday and all the kitties of the neighbourhood have been invited. But Bad Kitty is not happy with how some of the party turns out and the usual temper tantrum ensues.

Another of the Bad Kitty chapter books. This one is full of the wacky illustrations that make the series so popular. The neighbourhood kitties are also funny characters that the reader will like.

Sadly though, this book lacks something that the original picture books and Bad Kitty Takes a Bath lack. The zaniness seems forced, and is coming from the outside characters, rather than the observation of cat behaviour taken to the nth degree.

Only for the die-hard fans.

My #1 recommendation for later elementary kids who want something quick and funny.

This series is super fun! I am having a hard time gauging my 4 and 6 yr olds' reactions. During the reading they sit there blank faced with minimal reaction even during the funniest parts. But then they ask to re-read the books, and more frequently specific pages, over and over again. I can see this book getting 5 stars from us in the future-- we may have just started them a little prematurely.

I think Happy Birthday, Bad Kitty is so far the funniest (is that a word now?) book in the series. Correct me if I am wrong.
