A beginning graphic novel. Mouse and his friend the boy are on a trip to the Antarctic. Mouse continually asks if they can go home, but boy says "not yet" because they might see.... Turn the page as mouse guesses 4 things they might see, 4 things they feel as small as, 4 things a whale does. This would be a great conversation starter between a parent and child; each could guess what mouse might answer before the page is turned.

Adorable and appropriate as a picture book, or first graphic novel for a beginning reader.

A very simple graphic novel but it made me giggle. Could work nicely in a small storytime as the kids will enjoy Mouse always asking if it is time to go home.

This is so far my favorite TOON book. I love the art in this. Then end papers and double page spreads are incredible. The text is clever too. So much love.

Love these beginning reader graphic novels. Lots of fun based on a "real" story and lots of repetition that works out really well.

I like the style of this book, but the story itself offers little by way of a narrative.

A cute introduction to comics for kids, with a kid-like perspective of going on a trip. Fantastic art!

Viva tells the story of a researcher on a boat in the Antarctic with his friend the mouse. Together the explore the different animals and areas of the Antarctic circle. This is a short story that would be great for kids to identify different animals.
