Another good book from the Heifer International classroom materials. This one is great for kindergarten or 1st graders. I read it to first grade and we talked about how many of them had chickens (or maybe a family member that raised chickens) and how many had compost bins that worms could live in, etc. Then we watched the video about students in other schools learning from Heifer International programs with those animals.
